YIT TO BUILD A LOGISTICS CENTRE VALUED AT EUR 50 MILLION IN VANTAA
On December 22, 2004, YIT Construction Ltd, Tapiola Mutual Pension Insurance Company and Tapiola General Mutual Insurance Company have signed an agreement on the building of a logistics centre in the vicinity of the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport area in Vantaa. The agreement is valued at around EUR 50 million.
YIT will act as a developer-contractor in the project, taking on responsibility for the design, direction and implementation of the project. The construction work will be started up in January 2005 and the premises are slated for completion in the second quarter of 2006.
The total surface area of the buildings will be slightly over 40,000 square metres of floor area. In addition to the buildings, YIT will be responsible for the implementation of the outdoor areas and traffic arrangements.
