YEAR 2004 SERIES E AND F SHARE OPTIONS SUBSCRIBED FOR

YIT Corporation’s Annual General Meeting held on March 18, 2004, resolved to offer for subscription a total maximum of 180,000 Series E share options and a maximum of 420,000 Series F share options. During the subscription period for the options, May 14, 2004 - June 15, 2004, a total of 64 management and key employees within Building Systems business segment and YIT Construction Ltd subscribed for Series E share options. All the Series E share options were subscribed for.

YIT Construction Ltd subscribed for all 420,000 Series F share options, which are to be transferred at a later date, on the basis of a decision of the parent company’s Board of Directors, to the management and key employees within Building Systems business segment providing that the business segment’s operating profit (EBITA) targets are achieved.

Each share option entitles its holder to subscribe for one share with a nominal value of 1.00 euros. The subsidiary cannot subscribe for shares. As a consequence of subscriptions, YIT Corporation’s share capital can be increased by a maximum of 600,000 euros.

The shares can be subscribed for during the period from April 1 - November 30, 2006, and from April 1 - November 30, 2007, with the Series E share options and during the period from April 1 - November 30, 2007, with the Series F share options. The subscription price of the share is EUR 15.40. The subscription price will be reduced after January 1, 2005, by the amount of dividends per share distributed by the date when the share subscription period begins.

The share options have been registered in the book-entry system.
