SUBSCRIPTION FOR YIT SHARES BY EXERCISING THE 1998 SHARE OPTIONS
Through the exercise of the 1998 Series A share options, after the previous entry in the Trade Register on December 5, 2002, a total of 2,600 YIT Corporation shares have been subscribed for by April 30, 2003. The subscription price of the shares is EUR 11.77 per share, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the share option programme. The increase in the share capital as a consequence of these share subscriptions, totalling EUR 5,200, was entered in the Trade Register on May 8, 2003.
Following the increase, YITs share capital is EUR 59,497,870 and the total number of shares outstanding is 29,748,935. The nominal value of the share is 2 euros.
The new shares confer all shareholder rights as from the date of registration, May 8, 2003, and they will be accepted for public trading on Helsinki Exchanges together with the existing shares.
The objective is that trading in the shares will commence on May 9, 2003.
By April 30, 2003, a total of 343,850 shares have been subscribed for with the 1998 Series A share options. Max. 256,150 shares can be subscribed for with the remaining Series A share options. Max.
578,600 shares can be subscribed for with the remaining Series B share options from the year 1998. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the share option programme, the last subscription day for both the Series A and Series B share options will be November 28, 2003. Share subscriptions will be received by Conventum Securities Limited.
The objective is that the share subscriptions with the Series A and Series B share options will be entered in the Trade Register as follows:
