SUBSCRIPTION FOR YIT SHARES BY EXERCISING THE 1998 SHARE OPTIONS
Through the exercise of the 1998 Series A share options, after the previous entry in the Trade Register on May 8, 2003, a total of 8,500 YIT Corporation shares have been subscribed for by June 19, 2003. A total of 49,251 YIT shares have been subscribed for through the exercise of the Series B share options during the same period. The increase in the share capital as a consequence of these share subscriptions, totalling EUR 115,502, was entered in the Trade Register on June 26, 2003.
Following the increase, YITs share capital is EUR 59,613,372 and the total number of shares outstanding is 29,806,686. The nominal value of the share is 2 euros.
The new shares confer all shareholder rights as from the date of registration, June 26, 2003, and they will be accepted for public trading on Helsinki Exchanges together with the existing shares.
The objective is that trading in the shares will commence on June 27, 2003.
By June 19, 2003, a total of 352,350 shares have been subscribed for with the 1998 Series A share options. Max. 247,650 shares can be subscribed for with the remaining Series A share options. A total of 70,651 shares have been subscribed for with the Series B share options. Max. 529,349 shares can be subscribed for with the remaining Series B share options. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the share option programme, the last subscription day for both the Series A and Series B share options will be November 28, 2003. Share subscriptions will be received by Conventum Securities Limited.
The objective is that the share subscriptions with the Series A and Series B share options will be entered in the Trade Register as follows:
