SAKARI AHDEKIVI APPOINTED AS CFO OF YIT CORPORATION
Sakari Ahdekivi (43), M.Sc. (Econ.), has been appointed as CFO of YIT Corporation and as a member of the Group's Management Board as from September 1, 2007. He will report to Group CEO Hannu Leinonen. In addition to financial matters, his responsibilities will include other centralized corporate services.
Sakari Ahdekivi is stepping into the position from his current post as CFO of Huhtamäki Oyj. Prior to Huhtamäki, he was in ABB's employ from 1994-2005 in Finland, the UK, Switzerland and most recently the USA, where he was Division Controller at ABB's global Automation Technologies Division from January 2003 to March 2005.
As from the beginning of September, Executive Vice President Sakari Toikkanen will focus on the Group's strategic planning and acquisitions.
