INCREASE IN YIT?S SHARE CAPITAL AS A CONSEQUENCE OF SHARE SUBSCRIPTIONS

 INCREASE IN YIT’S SHARE CAPITAL AS A CONSEQUENCE OF SHARE SUBSCRIPTIONS WITH THE 2002 SERIES C AND SERIES D SHARE OPTIONS

From August 13 to November 30, 2005, a total of 105,766 YIT shares were subscribed for on the basis of the 2002 Series C share options and a total of 161,312 shares on the basis of the Series D share options. The increase in the share capital as a consequence of these share subscriptions, EUR 267,078, was entered in the Trade Register on December 5, 2005. Following the increase, YIT’s share capital is EUR 62,397,352 and the number of shares outstanding is 62,397,352. The nominal value of the share is one euro.

The new shares confer all shareholder rights as from the date of registration, December 5, 2005, and they will be accepted for public trading on the Helsinki Stock Exchange together with the existing shares. The objective is that trading in the shares will commence on December 7, 2005.

A total of 450,000 Series C share options and a total of 950,000 Series D share options have been issued. Each share option entitles its bearer to subscribe for two YIT Corporation shares (YTY1V). All in all, a maximum of 2,800,000 YIT Corporation shares can be subscribed for with the share options. Accordingly, the share capital can be increased by a maximum of EUR 2,800,000. The subscription price with the Series C share options is EUR 6.545 per share and with the Series D share options EUR 5.845 per share.

The shares can be subscribed for annually during the period from April 1 to November 30. The subscription period for the Series C share options began on April 1, 2004, and for the Series D share options on April 1, 2005. Both subscription periods end on November 30, 2006.

Subscriptions will be accepted at Nordea Bank Finland plc’s investment advisory branches.

By November 30, 2005, a total of 668,980 shares have been subscribed for with the 2002 Series C share options and a total of 681,622 with the Series D share options. A maximum of 231,020 shares can be subscribed for with the remaining Series C share options and a maximum of 1,218,378 shares with the remaining Series D share options.

The increases in the share capital on the basis of the subscriptions will be carried out as follows in 2006:
