ILKKA BROTHERUS RE-ELECTED AS CHAIRMAN OF YITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
At its organizational meeting on March 19, 2003, YIT Corporation's Board of Directors re-elected Ilkka Brotherus, M.Sc. (Econ.), managing director of Sinituote Oy, as its chairman. Ilkka Brotherus was a member of YITs Supervisory Board from 1998 to 2000, a Board member since 2000 and the chairman of the Board since 2002. He is the biggest private shareholder in YIT Corporation.
Eino Halonen, managing director of Suomi Mutual Life Assurance Company, was elected as vice chairman. He has been a member of YITs Board of Directors since 2000.
The Board of Directors also includes Reino Hanhinen, Group CEO of YIT Corporation, Asmo Kalpala, CEO of the Tapiola Group, Mikko Kivimäki, president and CEO of Rautaruukki Corporation, and Teuvo Salminen, executive vice president and deputy CEO of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj.
