Arne Malonæs to be the executive vice president of YIT Building Systems
The Board of Directors of YIT Building Systems Oy - The YIT Groups branch company providing building system services has appointed Arne Malonaes (48), M.Sc. (Eng.), as the companys executive vice president and deputy to the president. He will also stay on in his present position as the president of YIT Building Systems AS in Norway.
Malonæs has served as the president of the Norwegian company YIT Building Systems AS since 2003. Prior to joining YIT, he was the president of ABB Building Systems AS from 2001-2003 and the vice president of ABB AS from 2001-2003. Earlier, he served in various managerial positions at ABB Miljø AS, finally as managing director.
In 1998-2003, Malonæs was also a member of the global company ABB Building Systems top management group in Zürich.
YIT Building Systems Ltd offers services and systems covering the entire life cycle of properties, from design to installation and maintenance. The business segments technological expertise encompasses electricity and illumination, HEPAC, fire extinguisher, security and access control solutions and audiovisual systems. YIT Building Systems is the Nordic market leader in building systems services and its operational area consists of the Nordic and Baltic countries and Russia. The net sales of the company in the year 2004 was about 1,3 billion euros, accounting for 44% of the whole YIT Groups net sales. YIT Building Systems employs nearly 12,000 people.
