YIT to begin the construction of Chalets holiday homes in Vierumäki and Levi
YIT will begin the construction of a total 70 top-quality, fully equipped holiday homes in Vierumäki and Levi in October. Pre-marketing for the Vuokatti Chalets 2 project will begin at the same time. YIT will realise the project as one of its own development projects and as part of the Chalets holiday home concept.
Chalets & Villas leisure-time homes are owner-occupied apartments that are sold using the terms and conditions of housing laws. Fully-equipped and furnished leisure-time apartments often include services that help enjoying the vacation and owning the apartment. Once the projects are complete, they will be linked to the Chalets & Villas holiday network that makes it possible for those who have given their apartments available to be rented to spend vacation in sites all over Finland with half price.
"We will continue our strategic focus on holiday services by offering high-quality holiday homes in the best destinations in Finland. Our customers value diverse activities, services, and also entertainment," comments Marko Oinas, vice president of YIT's Leisure Housing unit.
The Vierumäki Chalets holiday homes are located next to the Vierumäki Cooke golf course and the Scandic hotel and new restaurant facilities, spa and entertainment bowling centre, which will open in April 2010. Vierumäki Country Club Oy, the main service provider in the area, will take care of the holiday homes' rental, cleaning and linen services.
The Levi Chalets holiday homes will be constructed in the vicinity of the Levi Summit conference centre and the YIT-built Levi Panorama hotel, which will open in November 2009. The hotel will take care of services provided for the Chalets homes. A three-minute gondola ride from the village of Levi gives skiers access to the Koutalaki slope.
Vuokatti Chalets 2 will be constructed as an extension to the first phase, which was completed in June 2008, on the banks of the Särkinen lake. The apartments offer an internal connection to the main building of the service partner, Vuokatti Sports Institute, where the reception and restaurant facilities are located.
A total of 400 completed holiday homes, each consistent with YIT's concept, are on sale to private individuals and companies in seven different locations: Ylläs, Saariselkä, Haukipudas, Vuokatti, Lappajärvi, Tahko and Sappee.
