DIVESTMENT OF MAKROFLEX COMPANIES AND TRADEMARK CLOSED
With a contract of sale signed on June 30, 2003, YIT sold all the shares outstanding in Makroflex Oy, which is in business in Finland, and all the shares outstanding in AS Makroflex, which operates in Estonia, as well as the Makroflex trademark to the Henkel Group. The approval of the competition authorities was required for the deal to come into force. The Finnish Competition Authority approved the deal on July 15, 2003, and the Estonian Competition Board on July 16, 2003. The deal was closed on July 18, 2003.
Makroflex develops, produces and markets sealants and thermal insulation materials.
