YIT WINS A COMPANY OF THE YEAR 2011 AWARD IN RUSSIA

YIT Moskovia, a subsidiary of the YIT Group operating in Moscow region, won the High Reliability category of the Company of the Year 2011 awards in Russia.

YIT has proven its reliability during difficult times in the construction industry. During the financial crisis in 2008 and 2009, YIT Moskovia did not discontinue any of its projects and started new ones as planned. The projects were completed on or ahead of schedule.

In 2011, YIT Moskovia has actively developed its operations, launching 12 new projects in towns near Moscow. The company has also expanded the geographical scope of its construction operations to include locations farther away from the Russian capital.

“We thank the RBC media group and the Company of the Year expert committee for holding our operations in 2011 in such high regard,” says Juha Rissanen, Vice President, Moscow Region. Rissanen accepted the award. “We understand our responsibility towards our customers and partners. Our highest reward is the trust that homebuyers show towards us.”

The annual Company of the Year event summarises the year’s business results in Russia. The Company of the Year awards highlight the best businesses, contribute to the new image of the Russian construction industry and promote new principles of business ethics in the country.
