YIT TO PROVIDE STORA ENSO IN POLAND WITH PAPER MACHINE PRODUCTION HALL AND ELECTRICAL ROOM VENTILATION SYSTEMS, HEATING AND COOLING CENTRES

YIT has agreed on the implementation of an HVAC contract in the Stora Enso Narew PM5 project in Ostroleka, Poland. The project comprises the construction of a new paper machine (and its machine hall) that will produce raw material for corrugated board. The contract signed now covers ventilation systems for the PM5 machine hall, finished product storage and electrical rooms as well as heating and cooling centres. The delivery includes detailed implementation planning, material deliveries, installation and commissioning as well as training.

The new paper machine is in its size class the world's first solution implemented in a one-floor machine hall. The building is of a smaller volume, and the ventilation system is a more inexpensive investment compared to a corresponding traditional machine hall with an intermediate level. The required production and working conditions will be created energy efficiently by means of ventilation machines that are placed on the outer walls of the building, thus enabling effective use of space in the building.

The HVAC contract will be implemented by YIT Industry Ltd from Finland, assisted by YIT's Polish company in local matters.

The work planning and equipment purchases will begin immediately. The installation will commence in April and will last until the end of July.
