The circular economy brick won the Finland Chamber of Commerce's Sustainability Deed of the Year award
YIT Corporation Press Release 4.7.2016 at 9.00 a.m.
Construction work on YIT’s first apartment property built as part of the Smartti concept launched in May is getting underway in the centre of Lahti. The demolition work will start right after the summer holidays. At the moment, 10 Smartti projects are being planned around Finland.
All in all, 41 new apartments will be built in Lahti as part of the Smartti concept. The property is located centrally, near the railway station and new Travel Centre.
“Demand for the apartments has been high. Smartti is especially well suited for first-time home buyers, older generations, and actually anyone looking for affordable living costs and fine-tuned solutions,” says Marko Oinas, Vice President at YIT.
YIT’s new Smartti housing concept combines style and compact size with a reasonable price and individuality. Smartti homes do not contain anything unnecessary, but they do include everything you need. For example, in the bathroom, the tower washer is neatly hidden behind the door and the wall-mounted WC seat provides extra space. And you do not have to compromise on style in any room. Customers can select their preferred style of decor. For an extra cost, even more alternatives are available. In addition, fixtures and extra cupboards designed especially for Smartti can be ordered through the YIT Plus service.
And you need only a little capital, 30 per cent, to become an apartment owner. Smartti apartments provide the apartment owner with a housing company loan with a five-year grace period. When you live in a Smartti home, you do not have to choose between a home and living, because you will have enough resources for both.
Experience Smartti – come check out the pop-up model apartment!
YIT will bring the pop-up Smartti model apartment to the same plot where the Smartti apartments are being built. This means Lahti residents can check out the Smartti solutions in their real environment. The Smartti model apartment will be on display at Puistokatu 7, Lahti from Tue 5 July to Fri 8 July from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
