YIT CORPORATION Press release May 3, 2021, at 09:00 a.m.
Neighbourly Dog Guide will be able to assess residential areas and YIT Homes from a dog’s perspective.
Can you sniff out a dog-friendly home? Would you like to help other furry friends to make the most of their residential area? If the answer is yes, you have the potential to become the new Neighbourly Dog Guide of YIT. We are now accepting applications!
Since the beginning of 2016, our Neighbourly Guides have assisted their fellow YIT Homes residents around Finland. They share experiences and answer questions about home ownership, construction and everyday life in the neighbourhood.
In the past five years, the Neighbourly Guide programme has grown and now includes more than 30 guides. In addition to soundproofing in the apartments, the people who have turned to the Neighbourly Guides have been interested in general information about the neighbourhood; how the housing company operates and what kind of people live in the building. The functionality of public transportation and the local services have also been a topic of interest.
“We’re proud of our Neighbourly Guides and their work. It’s wonderful to see how sincerely the Neighbourly Guides want to help other people and develop their neighbourhood,” says Eeva Hirvijärvi, Vice President, Marketing from YIT.
Now, YIT is looking for a dog to join our team of Neighbourly Guides. People have taken a lot of pets during the coronavirus pandemic. Dogs have become particularly popular. Therefore, we believe some good advice is sorely needed.
As a Neighbourly Dog Guide, you will be able to assess residential areas and YIT Homes from a dog’s perspective. Where to find the best walkies and playdate spots in the area? What are the best local tips for hiking and fun activities?
We accept applications for Neighbourly Dog Guides until May 23, 2021. Apply on social media by sharing a photo or a video of your dog showing us how they would present the best bits of their territory and family to their fellow dogs (use the hashtag #naapurikoiraoppaat).
You can also submit an application on the YIT website where you can also find more information on the application process.
One lucky dog will win the gig, but each applicant will enter a draw for treats for the whole year.
