YIT is building extension to the Tampere tram network with the Alliance

Tampere Tramway Ltd and the City of Tampere have appointed YIT, NRC Group Finland Oy, Sweco Infra & Rail Oy and Pöyry Finland Oy to a contract for extension of the Tampere tram network. The contract is an extension for the ongoing Alliance contract.

The Alliance parties will jointly design and build 0,7 km extension for the new tramline along the street Hatanpään valtatie and will involve rail services such as track, electro and groundwork. The work will commence in December 2019 and the project is scheduled for completion in September 2022.

The value of the contract is over 21 million and YIT’s share of the extension is approximately EUR 10 million.
