YIT chosen for Prize winner of “the most energy efficient building in Latvia”

This year total of 44 applications was submitted for the contest. The main evaluation criteria included sustainable solutions for total heat and hot water consumption, innovative ventilation systems and overall quality of a building. The main goal of the contest is to promote energy efficient solutions, raise awareness of heat resistant high quality buildings and inform about opportunities to reduce greenhouse gases.

“Energy efficiency is one of the most important issues for our clients nowadays and this is a factor which is a priority for us and for our customers”, Andris Boze, Managing Director of YIT Celtnieciba SIA says.

Akacijas is a 9-storey building with 62 apartments centrally located in area called Imanta, not far from Riga’s centre. The area has good public transport connections and it is also easily reached by car. Akacijas project was finalized in 2012.
