St1 researches and develops environmentally sustainable energy solutions, so moving to the environmentally certified Tripla supports the brand’s values.
The newest business premises tenant at office tower Workery West, rising to Tripla’s middle block, is the Nordic energy company St1, who is moving its Finnish head office to Tripla in Helsinki.
St1 Oy’s CEO Mika Wiljanen explains that moving their head office to Tripla was a natural choice in terms of both the location and the company’s values.
“The location and public transport connections were in favor of Tripla. The move to environmentally certified Tripla supports our brand values and long-term vision of being a leading manufacturer and seller of CO2-good energy."
St1 invests heavily in renewable energy, such as bio fuels, industrial wind power, geothermal heat systems and deep heat, which it researches and develops continuously.
Approximately 200 employees will move to St1’s new premises in Tripla. In total, the group has more than 750 employees in Finland, Sweden and Norway.
According to Wiljanen, the personnel is eagerly awaiting the move to the new premises.
“The location next to comprehensive services makes life easier for many people. Additionally, it is important for us that all working premises will be on the same floor, which increases efficiency and natural communication between different teams. We believe that in Tripla’s gorgeous environment, we will increase our employee satisfaction even further.”
“We are happy to welcome an energy-sector pioneer among the companies at Workery,” says Director Tuula Klemetti from YIT.
Tripla’s Workery, expected to be completed in early 2020, will provide office space for approximately 5,000 people.
Tripla’s Workery premises, which were designed by YIT and are currently under construction, were sold by YIT to the German real estate investment company Commerz Real in December 2018. The leasable area is approximately 50,000 square metres. Lease rate for Tripla’s offices is already over 80%.
Tripla’s Workery offices are constructed according to the standards of the LEED Platinum certificate.
