Päivi Alakuijala appointed YIT's head of Corporate Communications

PÄIVI ALAKUIJALA APPOINTED YIT’S HEAD OF CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

Päivi Alakuijala M.Sc. (For.and Agr.) (45), has been appointed Vice President, Corporate Communications at YIT Corporation as of 10 Sept., 2012. Päivi Alakuijala is moving to YIT from Itella Corporation, where she has been Vice President of Communications and Corporate Responsibility since 2004. Before that, she worked as a journalist and communications consultant. Alakuijala will report to Sakari Toikkanen, Senior Vice President, Business Development.

Virva Salmivaara, the previous Vice President of Corporate Communications, has been on sabbatical leave since 10 April, 2012. Kristina Broman will function as acting Vice President of Corporate Communications until 9 Sept., 2012.
