New high-quality homes in Niemenranta – YIT launched the construction of a residential apartment building in Tampere

YIT has started the construction of a self-developed residential apartment building, the Asunto Oy Tampereen Kesätuuli, in the Niemenranta residential area of Tampere. Construction began in November 2024 and the new homes will be completed in December 2025. The value of the project is approximately EUR 11 million and it will be recorded in the order book for the last quarter of 2024.

The picturesque Niemenranta combines urban living with excellent transport connections and a beautiful lakeside setting. The eight-storey apartment building on the shore of Lake Näsijärvi will have a total of 48 apartments, which range from 29.5 m² to 94.5 m² in size. The scope of the project is about 3,300 gross square meters.

Every Kesätuuli home has a balcony or terrace. In addition, all the apartments have a ventilation unit equipped with heat recovery, ensuring high-quality, fresh indoor air. The apartments range from studio apartments to four-room spacious family homes. The floor plans and surface materials have been carefully designed with the comfort of living in mind. The building houses shared facilities that bring added ease to day-to-day living and affords great views over the adjacent park and Lake Näsijärvi.

Asunto Oy Tampereen Kesätuuli is an environmentally friendly home, and at every stage of its design and construction, choices are made for the benefit of nature. It also enables the residents make environmentally friendly choices in their everyday lives. Kesätuuli will be built in line with the A energy class requirements. The apartments and domestic water will be heated with geothermal heat, and solar panels help to cover the electricity consumption of building technology and shared facilities.

During construction, only renewable electricity is used on the construction site. The construction waste generated is sorted and the amount of mixed waste is minimized. Reservations will be made for electric vehicle charging points at all of the housing company's parking spaces.
