YIT will start the construction of three apartment buildings for LocalTapiola’s fund

YIT has signed agreements on the construction of three apartment buildings for LocalTapiola Asuntosijoitus Suomi Ky housing fund. The total value of the projects that will be recorded in the second quarter’s order backlog is nearly EUR 30 million, and they will be completed by autumn 2016. A total of approximately 155 apartments will be constructed in Turku and Helsinki metropolitan area.

The projects are part of the frame agreement signed in March 2015 between YIT and LocalTapiola Asuntosijoitus Suomi Ky housing fund on the construction of over 550 non-subsidised rental apartments in the Helsinki metropolitan area, Turku and Tampere. The project specific agreements will be signed prior to each project start-up. The overall value of the frame agreement is over EUR 100 million. So far, the construction of a total of nearly 500 apartments has been started within the frame agreement signed in March.
