YIT SELLS OFFICE PROPERTY IN HELSINKI, FINLAND TO HANSAINVEST 

YIT Construction Ltd. concluded a sales contract on June 23, 2011 with the German real estate investor Hansainvest on the Triotto office building located in Käpylä, Helsinki, Finland. At completion the total sale price of the property is expected to be approximately EUR 56.5 million, including the plot to be purchased from City of Helsinki.

The construction of the office building with a floor area of approximately 15,500 m2 was started in January 2011, and it is due for completion in two phases during 2012. Triotto is constructed in accordance with YIT’s EnergyGenius concept, taking the energy efficiency of the structures and solutions into account in the planning phase, and the chosen building systems and equipment enable savings in future maintenance costs. The international LEED environmental certification will also be applied for Triotto.

YIT will implement two head office premises for two users in the Triotto office building. Finnish telecommunications company DNA Oy will locate its head office in one half of Triotto, with the premises completed in the summer 2012. The second half of the office building will be completed for use by the national grid company Fingrid Oyj in October 2012. Triotto will also have a staff canteen of its own, with Leipomokahvila Manteli Oy in charge of the services.

The Triotto office building sold to Hansainvest is an extension of Business Park Duetto, constructed by YIT on the neighbouring plot and completed in 2008. The central location and good traffic connections have increased the demand for business premises in the area.

In Triotto, we will implement modern premises to serve users, flexible in terms of the use of the premises also for future needs. State-of-the-art technical solutions also enable energy-efficient implementation that takes environmental aspects into account, says Jarkko Pakkala, head of YIT’s Office Construction Services Unit.
