YIT is awarded five new regional contracts

YIT Construction Ltd has won five regional contracts from different parts of Finland from the road management and maintenance regional contract tendering competition organised by the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centre). The contracts will amount to a value of over EUR 63 million overall and there are over 5,000 kilometres of roads to be maintained. The works will start October 1, 2013.

The contracts for Kotka, Kauhajoki, Hyvinkää and Hämeenlinna, are a continuation of previous contracts. The contract for Kotka is for seven years, and the Kauhajoki, Hyvinkää and Hämeenlinna contracts are for five years. The Kuhmo contract is for a length of one year.
