YIT is a part of the chosen Crown Bridges alliance consortium

The City of Helsinki and Helsinki City Transport have selected a consortium consisting of YIT, NRC Group Finland Oy, Ramboll Finland Oy and Sitowise Oy as the alliance partner for the Crown Bridges project. The Crown Bridges project will connect the Laajasalo, Korkeasaari and Kalasatama districts to the centre of Helsinki with a 10-kilometre tramway.

The alliance development stage will begin in late 2019 and will take approximately 18 months. During this stage, the content and implementation of the alliance project will be planned and the planned budget and the implementation plan will be defined. After the development stage, a decision will be made about moving on to the implementation stage.

The construction of the Crown Bridges connection may begin in 2021 and the goal is to complete the construction in 2026. The total contract value for the alliance consortium is EUR 110–370 million, depending on the related projects.
