Lemminkäinen will construct tower buildings to Oulu

LEMMINKÄINEN WILL CONSTRUCT TOWER BUILDINGS TO OULU

Lemminkäinen will start the construction of phase I of the tower buildings called Oulun Asemantornit in Oulu, in Northern Finland. The project will include the construction of a total of three tower buildings. The construction of phase I will begin in August 2017 and will be completed in December 2018. The value of the contract is approximately EUR 23 million.

The 12-storey Asunto Oy Oulun Asemantorni I will be situated beside Oulu railway and bus station in the heart of the city, so the services of the city centre and also other areas lie within easy reach. There will be a total of 337 apartments in the Asemantornit towers, constructed in three phases. The first tower will consist of 120 apartments, ranging from 30–50 m2. Also 68 parking spaces will be built. 

Other residential projects completed by Lemminkäinen in Northern Finland include Haasiopuisto in Oulu and Siljotie and Valsa in Rovaniemi. In addition, Lemminkäinen implements alliance and PPP contract projects in the area. Lemminkäinen has completed three PPP life cycle construction projects in Northern Finland in recent years: the Kastelli community centre in Oulu, a timber school campus in Pudasjärvi and an assisted living facility also in Pudasjärvi. Lemminkäinen will also start the construction of a well-being centre in Sodankylä in August. Alliance contract projects include the Hiukkavaara community centre in Oulu and the Kempele health centre.
