Lemminkäinen to renovate the Holiday Inn Helsinki - Messukeskus hotel

LEMMINKÄINEN TO RENOVATE THE HOLIDAY INN HELSINKI – MESSUKESKUS HOTEL  

Lemminkäinen and Messukeskus (Suomen Messut Osuuskunta) have signed an agreement on the renovation of the Holiday Inn Helsinki – Messukeskus hotel located in the Pasila district of Helsinki, Finland. The work will begin in late February and end in January 2019. The value of the agreement is over EUR 20 million. 

The project will be carried out as a project management contract, including the renovation of the interior and technical building systems of the hotel building, completed in 1997, a total of 245 hotel rooms as well as the restaurant, lobby and reception facilities.

Each year, nearly a hundred trade show events and more than 2,200 meetings and congresses are held in Messukeskus. Together with Lemminkäinen, we will start converting Holiday Inn Helsinki – Messukeskus into the best events hotel in Northern Europe,” says Anni Vepsäläinen, Managing Director, Messukeskus.

Messukeskus Helsinki, Expo and Convention Centre promotes Finnish trade and industry by enabling profitable face-to-face contact in trade shows, congresses and other events. Exhibitions and fairs are Finland’s seventh largest media. In terms of impact, they are the most profitable, the richest in experiences and the most social of all media. In 2016, a total of 75 trade show events and more than 2,200 meetings and congresses were held in Messukeskus. A total of 9,000 exhibitors and 1.1 million visitors took part in the events.
