Lemminkäinen to build residential buildings in Oulu and Rovaniemi

LEMMINKÄINEN TO BUILD RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS IN OULU AND ROVANIEMI

Lemminkäinen will develop and construct two residential buildings in northern Finland, As Oy Oulun Louhi in Oulu and As Oy Rovaniemen Karpalorakka in Rovaniemi. Oulun Louhi will comprise 83 apartments, while Rovaniemen Karpalorakka will have 40 apartments. Work is already underway at the two sites. Oulun Louhi is scheduled for completion in December 2014 and Rovaniemen Karpalorakka in September 2014.

In Oulu, As Oy Oulun Pohjanneito, which is also being constructed by Lemminkäinen, will be completed on the plot of land next to Oulun Louhi in September 2013. Lemminkäinen has constructed the entire Rovaniemen Rakka housing area, with the first building having been completed in December 2010. Karpalorakka is the fifth and final apartment block in the Rakka area.

"Both Oulun Louhi and Rovaniemen Karpalorakka are located close to their respective city centres. Our focus at the two sites is particularly on comfort, accessibility and low living costs. Both sites will also have radiant floor heating and apartment-specific ventilation with heat recovery technology," says Lemminkäinen’s Area Director Marko Palonen.
