LEMMINKÄINEN TO BUILD A GRADED INTERCHANGE AND A STREET IN ESPOO

Lemminkäinen and the City of Espoo in southern Finland have signed a contract for the construction of the Turvesolmu graded interchange and Turveradantie street in Espoo's Mankkaa district. Turveradantie will form a main link from the Nuijalantie street to the Koivu-Mankkaan tie street over the Turunväylä highway. The contract value is approximately EUR 25 million. The work will begin in December 2013 and is scheduled for completion at the end of 2015.

The contract covers major earthworks and civil engineering work, including excavation, crushing, paving, pilework and stabilisation, as well as the restoration of contaminated land. Additionally, Lemminkäinen will build six new bridges in the area, of which two will be built over the Turunväylä highway.
