Lemminkäinen builds a service centre and senior citizens' home in Vaasa

LEMMINKÄINEN BUILDS A SERVICE CENTRE AND SENIOR CITIZENS' HOME IN VAASA

Lemminkäinen builds a service centre and apartment block for senior citizens on Sorsatie in Vaasa. The customer is Kiinteistö Oy Pikipruukki Fastighets Ab. The contract is worth about EUR 8 million. Construction work is already underway and the project is scheduled for completion in May 2014.

The service centre and apartment block will contain a total of 79 apartments and senior apartments. Lemminkäinen will also be carrying out the HVAC, electrical, and sprinkler contracts.

"This is a significant project for Lemminkäinen's contracted production in the Vaasa area, and will improve housing services for senior citizens in the municipality," says Mikael Snellman, Regional Director at Lemminkäinen.

Lemminkäinen has been the main contractor for similar projects, including for example service centres in the following towns and cities: Vaasa (Onnenkaivo), Kotka (Eskola), Kouvola (Marjoniemi) and Hamina.
