Lemminkäinen builds a logistics warehouse and office building for the VR Group in Kouvola

LEMMINKÄINEN BUILDS A LOGISTICS WAREHOUSE AND OFFICE BUILDING FOR THE VR GROUP IN KOUVOLA

Lemminkäinen is building a logistics warehouse and office building for the VR Group in Kouvola. The project will be carried out as a management contract in which Lemminkäinen will be responsible for management, planning and construction work. The contract is worth about EUR 10 million. Construction work is already underway and the project is scheduled for completion in February 2014.

The buildings will be located on Laastitie in Kouvola, and will contain a total of about 15,100 m² of warehouse space and about 800 m² of office space. The buildings will be used by VR Transpoint.

"This project continues Lemminkäinen's successful cooperation with VR. The new logistics warehouse will be an extension to VR Transpoint's current warehouse space, which Lemminkäinen built in 2004," says Kimmo Vanhala, Regional Manager at Lemminkäinen.

Lemminkäinen has been the main contractor in several projects to build logistics buildings in, for example, Kouvola, Hämeenlinna, Sipoo and Vantaa.
