LEMMINKÄINEN AN ATTRACTIVE EMPLOYER FOR TECHNICAL BUILDING SERVICES PROFESSIONALS

In November 2012, Lemminkäinen launched an extensive campaign to recruit more than a hundred professionals in upkeep and maintenance of technical building services jobs across Finland. This campaign was successful, with Lemminkäinen receiving approximately 2,500 job applications from technical building services professionals and experts.

So far, more than 100 new Lemminkäinen employees have been recruited to Technical Building Services business segment from among these applicants.  The recruitment process continues.  In addition to offering permanent employment, Lemminkäinen will also provide hundreds of summer jobs also this year.

"We offer our customers comprehensive technical building services. Recruitment is one way of ensuring that we have the right skills and competences in all service areas across Finland. We pay special attention to the introduction training provided to new Lemminkäinen employees, as this is very important both in terms of occupational safety and efficiency. In addition, training is offered to our existing personnel on an ongoing basis. We work in close cooperation with technical schools and offer opportunities for apprenticeship training to students. We want to contribute to contribute to further develop the whole industry," says Executive Vice President Marcus Karsten. He continues: "We believe that demand for upkeep and maintenance of technical building services will continue to grow. We have won extensive maintenance orders and will receive more orders in the future as well. Professional maintenance increases a property's value, extends its lifecycle and ensures energy efficiency. Property users and residents also pay more and more attention to user comfort and safety."
