CHANGES IN LEMMINKÄINEN'S MANAGEMENT
Lemminkäinen has achieved significant growth in its international operations in the recent years. Approximately 40 per cent of the net sales and nearly half of the order book are generated from outside Finland. Profitability in these growth markets has not, however, developed according to the company's targets.
To ensure profitable growth, Lemminkäinen strengthens the management of its international operations as follows:
Maaret Heiskari has been appointed Executive Vice President, Russia and a member of the Executive Board. Heiskari currently holds the position of Regional Director, Russia for Kone Corporation. She will join Lemminkäinen by the end of the year. Heiskari has over 15 years of management experience in the Russian market. She will be based in St. Petersburg.
Timo Vikström has been appointed Executive Vice President, Scandinavia and a member of the Executive Board. Vikström is currently serving as Senior Vice President, Scandinavian operations and Managing Director of Lemminkäinen Norge A/S. He will also continue for the time being in his position in Norway.
Harri Kailasalo, Executive Vice President, Infrastructure Construction in Finland, will also be responsible for the Baltic countries as well as project export.
Executive Vice President, International Operations Henrik Eklund will transfer to Sweden as Regional Director, and will no longer be a member of the Executive Board.
The changes will take effect immediately.
"Our aim is to speed up our development in Russia and Scandinavia and to highlight these key markets even more at the Executive Board level," comments Timo Kohtamäki, President and CEO.
As of 8 August 2013, Lemminkäinen's Executive Board will consist of the following members:

- Harri Kailasalo, Executive Vice President, Infrastructure Construction in Finland, the Baltic countries, project export
- Marcus Karsten, Executive Vice President, Technical Building Services in Finland
- Casimir Lindholm, Executive Vice President, Building Construction in Finland
- Tiina Mellas, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and IT
- Tiina Mikander, Chief Strategy Officer
- Jouni Pekonen, Executive Vice President, Procurement
- Timo Vikström, Executive Vice President, Scandinavia
- Robert Öhman, CFO
