Lemminkäinen to build rental apartments for VVO in Jyväskylä

LEMMINKÄINEN TO BUILD RENTAL APARTMENTS FOR VVO IN JYVÄSKYLÄ

Lemminkäinen and VVO have signed a contract to build a privately funded residential building in Harjunkulma in the centre of Jyväskylä. The contract for As Oy Jyväskylän Väinönkatu 15, comprises 65 residential apartments, storage, and an underground garage.  The apartments will have a combined floor space of 3,180 m2. Lemminkäinen will be the main contractor responsible for the overall contract. The parties have agreed that the contract price will not be published. Construction will begin in October 2012, and the building complex will be completed in February 2014.

"This contract adds significantly to Lemminkäinen's building construction business in Jyväskylä in the coming year while supporting the efforts to complete the modern, new-build Harjunkulma block in the city centre," says Lemminkäinen's regional manager Juha-Pekka Eskola.

"The project follows on from the long-term cooperation between Lemminkäinen and VVO. This privately funded residential building is a great addition to the local rental housing stock," says VVO's business director Eero Saastamoinen.
