Lemminkäinen enters into a nationwide maintenance contract with the ST1 chain

LEMMINKÄINEN ENTERS INTO NATIONWIDE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITH THE ST1 CHAIN

Lemminkäinen has signed a contract on nationwide maintenance with the Finnish energy company St1. The agreement, covering the technical building service maintenance and repair services of all St1 and Shell service stations as well as service centre operations, applies to approximately 630 fuel stations in Finland.

The four-year contract period begins on 1 March 2012. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the contract.

"The St1 service station chain sought a long-term strategic partner. Lemminkäinen's strengths include long-term special expertise in providing service and maintenance for a fuel station network, and a cost-efficient service entity. This comprehensive nationwide contract is a significant step for us", comments Ilkka Nurmela, Director, Servicing and Maintenance.

Lemminkäinen's aim is to increase the share of maintenance and servicing of its Technical Building Services business sector's net sales to approximately 50 per cent from the current 30 per cent by the end of 2013.
