LEMMINKÄINEN CARRIES OUT RENOVATION OF VENTILATION IN THE KANTA-HÄME CENTRAL HOSPITAL

Lemminkäinen will carry out the renovation of ventilation in the hospital kitchen as well as in the technical maintenance facilities of the Kanta-Häme Central Hospital in Hämeenlinna. The goal is the improvement of ventilation in the facilities undergoing renovation, as well as the installation of heat recovery equipment. The contract was ordered by the Intermunicipal Hospital District of Kanta-Häme. Scheduled for completion in November 2014, the project will begin in early April 2012. The value of this project is approximately EUR 1.7 million.

Ventilation in the hospital kitchen will be implemented using a ventilated ceiling solution. Since the total ceiling area is more than 800 square metres, the project is one of the most significant ventilation projects for professional kitchens in Northern Europe. The ceiling solution gives due regard to user friendliness; furthermore, it brings significant savings by reducing the energy and maintenance cost of the kitchen.

Since 2002, Lemminkäinen has implemented a total of 11 projects for the Intermunicipal Hospital District of Kanta-Häme.
