LEMMINKÄINEN WINS THE TECHNICAL BUILDING SERVICES RENOVATION PROJECT OF TURKU’S LINNANKIINTEISTÖ PROPERTY

Lemminkäinen has signed an agreement covering technical building services in the Linnankiinteistö property, being renovated in the Port of Turku. As part of the property’s overall restoration, Lemminkäinen will modernise its electrical, ventilation and sprinkler systems, which were originally installed in the 1940s. The building is owned by Fastighets Ab Slottsfastigheten / Stiftelsen för Åbo Akademi.

The building includes around 27 000 m² that is to be renovated.  The technical building services project, worth around EUR 7 million, will commence in September 2011, with the entire renovation concluding at the end of 2012.

The renovated Linnankiinteistö building will be an operational centre particularly focusing on maritime shipping, port operations and traffic. The building will include offices, cafe and restaurant operations, and storage facilities.
