Lemminkäinen to carry out large-scale construction projects at Westenergy´s power plant in Mustasaari

LEMMINKÄINEN TO CARRY OUT LARGE-SCALE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AT WESTENERGY’S POWER PLANT IN MUSTASAARI

Lemminkäinen will carry out the HEVAC, electrification and automation system building work for the waste incineration facility at Westenergy's power plant in Mustasaari. The technical building project, which is due for completion in March 2012, is a continuation of Lemminkäinen’s large-scale concrete construction contract at the power plant, initiated last year. The concrete construction project will be complete by the end of January 2012. The total value of Lemminkäinen’s contracts is approximately EUR 19 million.

Westenergy Oy's heating power plant reuses non-recyclable waste in an efficient and clean manner. The energy generated by the plant is used for the production of municipal heating. Once completed, the power plant will produce more than one-third of the total volume of municipal heating required by the City of Vaasa. The building of the power plant is one of the largest construction projects carried out in the Vaasa economic area.
