Lemminkäinen to build an apartment building in Pihlajalaakso, Kuopio as part of its own housing production

LEMMINKÄINEN TO BUILD AN APARTMENT BUILDING IN PIHLAJALAAKSO, KUOPIO AS PART OF ITS OWN HOUSING PRODUCTION

Lemminkäinen will start the construction of an apartment building in the new residential area of Pihlajalaakso in Kuopio, within the sphere of its own housing development. The four-storey building As Oy Kuopion Kotipihlaja will house 20 apartments between 58 and 78.5 m2 in size. The building will be equipped with a lift, and all apartments will have their own saunas and spacious glazed balconies. Energy-efficiency is increased with mechanical heat recovery ventilation systems in each apartment, which also adds to their level of comfort.

Construction will begin immediately and is due for completion in November 2012. Advance sales of the apartments are under way, with nearly half of them already reserved.

This project is a continuation of Lemminkäinen’s own housing development projects in the Kuopio region. The As Oy Kuopion Keilanloiste apartment building in Lehtoniemi, in the Saaristokaupunki district of Kuopio, will be completed by the end of the year. There are still a few apartments available at Keilanloiste.

Lemminkäinen is one of Finland’s largest and most versatile housing constructors. Lemminkäinen estimates that it will start the construction of about 1,200 units in its own housing developments this year.
