LEMMINKÄINEN CORPORATION PRESS RELEASE 02.11.2010, 9.30 LEMMINKÄINEN WINS ADDITIONAL CONTRACT AT KEVITSA MINE Lemminkäinen has won a bulk earthworks contract from Kevitsa Mining AB, a subsidiary of First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (FQML), for its Kevitsa nickel/copper mine site in Sodankylä. The order is worth approx. EUR 15 million, and is booked in Lemminkäinen's third-quarter orders received. The order is a extension of the earthworks and concrete construction contracts that Lemminkäinen won at the Kevitsa mine in July 2010. Construction work has just started and the works within the scope of Lemminkainen's contract are planned to be completed in autumn 2011. About 100 Lemminkäinen personnel are involved in the work. FQML received approval for the Kevitsa mine development in November 2009. The mine site is located 43 kilometres north of Sodankylä in northern Finland. Construction work began in spring 2010 and mine production is planned to start up in 2012. The mine will produce nickel-PGE concentrate as well as copper concentrate. First Quantum Minerals Ltd., a growing mining and metals company, is engaged in mineral exploration, development, mining and refining. The Company produces LME grade "A" copper cathode, copper in concentrate, gold and sulphuric acid. First Quantum's common shares are listed for trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange in Canada (symbol "FM"), the London Stock Exchange (symbol "FQM") in the United Kingdom. First Quantum is a member of the S&P/TSX 60 index. In addition to this contract Lemminkäinen has carried out mine excavation works at a number of locations in Finland, including Elijärvi, Hitura, Kittilä and Pampalo, as well as at the Kiruna iron ore mine in Sweden. The company also has an on-going three-year excavation contract at Pahtavaara gold mine.
