Lemminkäinen to renew the track and field at Helsinki's Olympic Stadium

Lemminkäinen is to renew the track and field at Helsinki's Olympic Stadium. The
field will be extended in accordance with international requirements, and
consequently the running tracks and other athletic event areas will be rebuilt.
At the same time the field's drainage, heating and watering systems as well as
its electrical and TV cabling systems will also be renewed and brought up to
modern standards.

The field event venues will be resurfaced with MondotrackFTX, which meets all
the international requirements. The asphalt under the event venues and the ends
of the field area will also be renewed.

The main contractor will be Lemminkäinen Group's Omni-Sica Oy. Lemminkäinen
will also be represented in the project by Lemminkäinen Infra Oy, which will
carry out the asphalt work, and Tekmanni Oy, which will handle the electrical
and telecommunications work.

The contract is worth approx. EUR 4 million and will be completed at the end of
July 2010. The work has been ordered by the Stadium Foundation, with
HKR-rakennuttaja acting as the client.

Lemminkäinen last renewed the track and field of the Olympic Stadium just
before in 2005 World Athletics Championships. Lemminkäinen has also used Mondo
sports surfacing in the renewal of the Ratina Stadium in Tampere and the
Kimpinen Stadium in Lappeenranta. Soccer pitches meeting today's international
requirements are often equipped with watering and heating systems.
