LEMMINKÄINEN OUTSOURCES FOUR OF ITS EQUIPMENT DEPOTS TO CRAMO
Lemminkäinen and Cramo Oyj have today signed an agreement to outsource Lemminkäinen Building Construction’s equipment depots at four locations to Cramo. At the same time, the parties signed a co-operation agreement on producing site services for Lemminkäinen. The parties have agreed not to publish the value of the contract.
‘Outsourcing of the depots is a means of strengthening and developing our site operations,’ says Jukka Terhonen, Lemminkäinen’s Executive Vice President, Building Construction. ‘By outsourcing these services, we will be able to better ensure the availability of the most suitable equipment, tools and methods for each construction need and, consequently, be even more reliable partner to our customers. The arrangement will also release our capital for use in our core business.’
According to the agreement, Building Construction’s equipment depots located in Helsinki, Oulu, Vaasa and Kokkola will transfer to Cramo. The agreement covers the construction machinery, tower cranes and site huts of the depots. The Lemminkäinen employees covered by the agreement will be transferred to the service of Cramo as existing employees.
Lemminkäinen Building Construction has previously outsourced, for example, its equipment depots in Joensuu, Kuopio, Turku and Tampere to Cramo. The latest agreement expands on the long-standing co-operation of Lemminkäinen and Cramo.
