As part of the transformation program announced by YIT in February 2023, YIT renewed its corporate structure by incorporating the business operations of YIT Suomi Oy. Through incorporation, YIT clarified its corporate structure and developed its business. 

Incorporation was carried out through the partial demerger of YIT Suomi Oy, where certain business operations of YIT Suomi Oy were transferred to the companies created in the demerger on a business basis: YIT Business Premises Ltd, YIT Infra Ltd and YIT Road Ltd. The partial demerger has been implemented on January 1, 2024. In the same context, the business name of YIT Suomi Oy has been changed to YIT Housing Ltd. The demerger did not apply to YIT Oyj. The new companies are group companies fully owned by YIT Oyj, such as YIT Housing Ltd.  

Cooperation and contracts continue as normal

The partial demerger does not affect cooperation or existing contracts. In principle, the changes do not require any special measures from customers, but for suppliers and contractual partners, we ask you to take into account the new company, contact and invoicing information. The assets, liabilities, rights and obligations belonging to the transferred business operations of YIT Suomi Oy has been transferred to the above-mentioned companies on the basis of universal succession, distributed according to the business operations of the new companies. The new companies started operating on January 1, 2024. This means that the contracts concluded with YIT Suomi Oy related to the transferred business operations has been transferred to YIT Business Premises Ltd, YIT Infra Ltd and YIT Road Ltd as such without changes

The reform is primarily administrative. All current projects with our customers and partners will continue as planned, and the new companies will in future be responsible for the contracts related to the business transferred to them in accordance with the original commitments.   

Our operations will continue at the current locations and you will be served by your familiar contacts. Their personal email addresses and phone numbers will remain unchanged.  

A letter has been sent to all of YIT's current customers and partners in November about the company restructuring.

Billing

As a result of the reform of the company structure, we kindly ask our partners and business customers to take into account the business IDs and invoicing information of the new companies from January 1, 2024 on. Our project numbers remain unchanged.
